Annual Founders' Rally
Join us for the premier scenic drive and luncheon, honoring the history and fellowship of the Thunderbird community.
The Founders' Rally is a full-day event combining a professionally planned scenic drive with an exclusive club luncheon and showcase. Please adhere to all posted speed limits and convoy instructions.
The rally concludes at our luncheon venue where a private, catered meal will be served. This is an opportunity for fellowship and appreciation.
Registration and Safety Briefing
The Annual Founders' Rally is the T-Birds club's premier driving event. All attendees must pre-register online before the September 1st deadline.
Registration Fee: $65 per person (includes catered lunch, rally materials, and one official rally badge).
Mandatory Check-In and Briefing
- 8:00 AM: Check-in opens at the starting location (Coastal Vista Point Parking Lot). Enjoy complimentary coffee and pastries.
- 9:00 AM: Driver Safety Briefing (MANDATORY for all drivers). We will review convoy procedures, radio protocols, and emergency contacts.
- 9:30 AM: Rally Departure. Please ensure your T-Bird has a full tank of premium fuel before arriving.
II. The Vista Coastal Drive
The rally route covers approximately 120 miles of beautiful, winding backroads and scenic coastal highways, specifically chosen for their low traffic and stunning views of the Pacific Ocean.
Route Highlights and Details
- The route is fully mapped and will be provided in a printed booklet and digital GPS file.
- We will observe a maximum convoy speed of 55 MPH to maintain a safe driving distance.
- Mid-way Rest Stop: A 30-minute scheduled stop at the historic Lighthouse Museum for photographs and a brief stretch.
- FRS/GMRS radios are highly encouraged for inter-car communication throughout the drive.
III. Luncheon and Awards Ceremony
The rally concludes at 1:00 PM at the historic [Venue Name] Banquet Hall.
Afternoon Schedule
- 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Designated parking and T-Birds Showcase setup.
- 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM: Private catered luncheon served.
- 3:30 PM: Awards Ceremony begins.
